Medina means "city" in Arabic, in Morocco the medina refers to the area within the walls of the old city. The medina of Marrakech is where the main tourist attractions are located. The medina consists of numerous riads, shops, restaurants and bars, museums and workshops. You will find many monuments such as the Bahia palace, the Koutoubia mosque and the famous Jemaa el-Fna square.
