A charming neighbourhood where life is good

A charming neighbourhood where life is good

Built on the initiative of King Mohammed VI at the beginning of the 2000s, this district attracts many tourists every year, but also outsiders who want to settle down in Marrakech and bask in the sunshine. Indeed, the name of this district comes in particular from the winter, because before this place was mainly occupied by English people who came to spend the season there before leaving for their country in spring. In spite of the buildings that have recently been built, the wintering district has managed to preserve all of its former soul and uniqueness. The modern facilities bring a touch of new life to the district and a certain chic for which it is so much appreciated. People are attracted to the area for the calm and atmosphere that prevails there, owing in particular to its large gardens and lush vegetation. Indeed, this district is particularly flowery and the large avenues are lined with palm and olive trees, ideal for outings in the shade to cool down with the Atlas Mountains in the background. Thus, many people find in this area a true haven of peace where authenticity and modernity blend perfectly.
