In summary

This charming courtyard house is a real oasis of nature and calm in the heart of the Dar el Bacha district in the medina of Marrakech. The house is a traditional riad which has 2 beautiful suites offering 2 bedrooms each and a spa annexe that can be used as an extra room. It can accommodate a total of 8 people (ideally 4 adults and 4 children). There is a beautiful swimming pool in the courtyard.
The owners of the Riad are committed to protecting the environment and biodiversity on a daily basis. With the help of an ornithologist and a botanist, they improve the protection of birds and reintroduce new plant species in Morocco.


Bedrooms

Room 1 - Patio :
Suite with 2 bedrooms, Ground level, direct access to the courtyard. The bedroom has 2 Beds including 1 double bed King size, 1 single bed 90 cm. Bathroom ensuite, with shower. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also air conditioning, living area.

Room 2
Suite with 2 bedrooms, 1st floor, direct access to the terrace. The bedroom has 3 Beds including 1 double bed Queen size, 2 twin beds configurable as a double bed. Bathroom ensuite, shared, with bathtub with shower head, shower. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also air conditioning.

Room 3 - Spa :
Room, 1st floor. This bedroom has 1 single bed 90 cm. Bathroom ensuite, with shower. WC in the bathroom.

Note : On the first floor, an annex is dedicated to massages, with a private and intimate terrace. This annex can be converted into a single room (see description of room 3) with a bed (90cm), a shower and WC. It can also be converted into a double room (kingsize).
The large sofa in the large living room can be used as a comfortable double bed.


Indoors

On the ground floor, around the courtyard are a kitchen, the living room and the dining room as well as the master suite (1 additional bed possible) with private bathroom.
A staircase leads upstairs where the second suite is located and spreading over 2 communicating rooms (the bedroom and the living room). The living room of the suite has 2 additional beds for children and is leading to the bathroom.
A third single bedroom is available on request (with ensuite shower room).

Note: the house is equipped with a very good Wi-fi system. Since May 2023, optic fibre is operational.


Outdoors

On the ground floor, the large courtyard with lots of trees and flowers accommodates a swimming pool (7x3m - 1.60m deep) (can be heated in the winter) and a pretty bhou (Moroccan outdoor lounge) for lounging while listening to birdsong. The pool is heated from November to April by solar panels (27°c).
The roof terrace enjoys absolute sunshine and lovely views over the rooftops of the Medina and the Atlas. A covered terrace is available for meals and a second terrace welcomes you for sunbathing.


Staff and services

3 people look after the riad, including Jamila, a talented cook who prepares the meals, a dedicated concierge and a housekeeper.
The swimming pool can be heated from November to April (extra charge).
Breakfast is included; for your other meals, 2 catering options are available:

• A la carte” formula:
  You don't have to worry about the shopping involved in preparing them, the house takes care of it:
  in 2024: from 17 euros per person per meal (lunch/dinner)
  in 2025: from 20 euros per person per meal (lunch/dinner)
   
• En liberté” option: You pay the price of the groceries (and an additional €5 for the journey). The house staff does the shopping and cooks with the ingredients purchased. 

• your wellness program at the riad (massages, swimming pool, vinyasa yoga, hatha yoga, yoga flow, aqua yoga and coaching).
• your plant and bird biodiversity discovery workshop in the heart of the garden. 
• your private and personalized ecological “popup” bivouac, simple or luxury and “hand-sewn” (staff, guide, chef, coach, master bedroom, masseuse, botanist, camel or quad...). Discover the Agafay desert, Atlas, Sahara (oasis, dunes) and beaches. Until the end of February 2024, a festive dinner will be offered (at an extra charge). 

• If you book 4 meals at the Riad (excluding breakfast), 1 meal will be offered.
• If you book 2 massages at €40, massages from the 3rd will be €35.
