In summary

Dar Z5 is an oasis of tranquillity ideally located in the heart of the popular Dar el Bacha district in the medina. This charming traditional riad has two beautiful suites, each with two bedrooms, and a spa annexe that can be used as an extra bedroom if required. The riad can accommodate a total of 8 people*. The swimming pool sits in the middle of the pretty, lush patio.

Bedrooms

Room 1 - Patio :
Suite with 2 bedrooms, Ground level, direct access to the courtyard. The bedroom has 2 Beds including 1 double bed King size, 1 single bed 90 cm. Bathroom ensuite, with shower. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also air conditioning, living area.

Room 2
Suite with 2 bedrooms, 1st floor, direct access to the terrace. The bedroom has 3 Beds including 1 double bed Queen size, 2 twin beds configurable as a double bed. Bathroom ensuite, shared, with bathtub with shower head, shower. WC in the bathroom. This bedroom includes also air conditioning.

Room 3 - Spa :
Room, 1st floor. This bedroom has 1 single bed 90 cm. Bathroom ensuite, with shower. WC in the bathroom.

Note:
- The lower suite has one double and one single bed, ideal for parents with one child.
- The upper suite has two double beds, perfect for two couples or a family with children. 
- The spa room can be converted into a single room for an adult or teenager. It features a private and intimate terrace with a protective uv-screen blind. It can also be converted into a double (kingsize) room if you need more beds (on request).
- The large sofa in the living room can be used as an extra bed for two people if needed (on request). It has the size of a double bed and it is comfortable. 
- 2 cots and high chairs are available.


Indoors

On the ground floor, around the patio and swimming pool, there is a kitchen, the ‘Bhou’ (covered outdoor lounge), the indoor lounges and dining room, and the master suite (1 double and 1 single) with en suite bathroom and toilet. 
A staircase leads upstairs to the second suite, with 2 interconnecting rooms (1 double and 1 twin/double). All rooms are connected to the bathroom and toilet.
A third single bedroom is available on the same floor on request.

Note: the house is equipped with a very good wifi system with fibre optics.


Outdoors

On the ground floor, the large tree-lined patio is home to the swimming pool (7x3m - 1.60m deep), which can be heated in winter (25-27°C) at extra cost, and a pretty bhou (Moroccan outdoor living room) situated in front of the pool. It's the perfect place to relax and listen to the birdsong. 

The rooftop terrace is bathed in sunshine and boasts lovely views over the rooftops of the Medina and the Atlas Mountains. A pergola, a ‘bioclimatic’ covered terrace, is available for meals.


Staff and services

The riad is run by a family of three: Jamila, a talented cook who prepares the meals, her husband Mohamed, a dedicated caretaker, and Abdelali, their son, who provides the service.
The swimming pool can be heated from mid/late November to early/mid April (at an additional cost).

A hearty Moroccan breakfast is included, and there are 2 dining options for your other meals:

"A la carte" formula: You don't have to worry about the shopping involved in preparing them, the house takes care of it:

• in 2024: from 17 euros per person per meal (lunch and dinner)
• in 2025: from 20/25 euros per person per meal (lunch/dinner)

• Your wellness programme at the riad (massages, vinyasa yoga, hatha yoga, yoga flow, aqua yoga and coaching).
• Your plant and bird biodiversity discovery workshop in the heart of the garden. 
• Your private and personalised ecological ‘popup’ bivouac, simple or luxury and ‘hand-crafted’ (staff, guide, chef, coach, master bedroom, masseuse, botanist, camel or quad...). Discovery of the Agafay desert, Atlas, Sahara (oasis, dunes) and beaches.

• If you book 4 meals at the Riad (excluding breakfast), 1 meal will be offered.
• If you book 2 massages at €40, massages from the 3rd will be €35.
• Dunes Rouges discovery offer (on request).
