At Villanovo, we know how important your vacation is and we want you to feel safe with us.
With the vaccination campaign currently underway around the world, we are confident in the near future. However, we recognize that many of you are still hesitant to book your vacation for 2021 or 2022. Therefore, we have created a Covid guarantee which offers you coverage in case you have to change your plans due to Covid-19.
Our Covid Guarantee
We hope to meet your need for flexibility in a volatile travel environment where it is difficult to predict travel restrictions in advance.
A few days before your balance is due, usually 45 days before departure, we check with you to see if travel is likely to be unavailable due to Covid for the dates you have booked.
Each reservation must be treated on a case by case basis, depending on the cancellation policy that has been accepted by the villa owner and the health conditions of the country you are going to, but we will do our best to try to shift your reservation to a later date if you are not confident in your upcoming trip.
For example, if the country you are traveling to is one for which the authorities in your country of residence have issued a travel ban or if the destination country has issued entry restrictions, we will explore with you the possibility of transferring your reservation to a later date in 2021 or 2022 and we will issue a voucher for the value of your initial deposit with Villanovo.
Your voucher is valid for a future reservation in the same villa, for the amount that was paid at the time of cancellation of your reservation and for a period of 12 months. The booking conditions in effect on the new dates of your stay will then apply.
In the days prior to your departure, if there is a total travel ban in effect on the date of your stay in the country where the villa is located, we will offer you to move your reservation to a later date or to receive a voucher for the total value of your reservation, which you can use for a future reservation in the same villa.
A cancellation of your flight alone does not justify a postponement of your reservation if you have the possibility to reach the destination by another means.
Travel Insurance
We strongly advise you to get travel insurance at the time of booking.
Villanovo has partnered with Trustiways, a villa rental specialist insurance broker and we propose travel cancellation insurance covering Covid 19.
If you or a family member are unable to travel after contracting Covid or coming into contact with someone who has Covid, you may be entitled to obtain a refund from Trustiways.
We will continue to apply our Covid Guarantee for the foreseeable future, until we are satisfied that travel restrictions are a thing of the past.
This means that our Covid Guarantee will apply to 2022 bookings.
